How to use it
Simple enough to use during live instruction
Paste your class roster into the tool, one student name per line. Then choose a regular random pick or use the no-repeat option to cycle through names more evenly.
1. Add your class list
Use first names, full names, or whatever format fits your classroom routine best.
2. Pick a student
Choose a fully random pick for quick use or use the no-repeat option for balanced participation.
3. Reset for a new class
Use reset any time you want to clear the list and start fresh with a different group of students.
4. Reuse all day
This works well for warm-ups, review, transitions, helpers, and classroom discussions.
Why random student pickers help
A random student picker supports fair participation by helping teachers avoid relying on the same students over and over. It can also increase accountability because students know they may be called on at any time.
This tool works especially well during checks for understanding, review activities, whole-group discussion, and simple classroom job selection.
